CA is the course of a prestigious career. But if you want to become a Charted Accountant then definitely you should have passion and interest in accounting and financial sector.

- The first step is choosing a commerce group with accounts and business mathematics
There are 4 levels in CA:
- CA common proficiency test (CPT) i.e recently changed to CA Foundation Course
- IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course or IPCE (Intermediate)
- Training under a practicing CA
- Charted Accountant (C.A)Final
Above mentioned are the four stages you have to finish successfully to become a CA
According to the new syllabus, the changes will be implemented by November 2016 or May 2017 till that time old syllabus will prevail. Students are eligible to appear for CA Foundation Course after 12th standard. This exam will have subjective questions for 200 marks and objective questions for 200 marks total 400 marks. Following syllabus covers subjective and objective questions:
- Principles and practices of Accounting
- Business mathematics
- Logical Reasoning
- Mercantile law
- General English
- Business Economics and business commercial knowledge
Once this test is cleared students can apply for IPCC, in this students undergoes Information technology and orientation training. Then students can carry-out article ship for practical training of three years under a charted accountant. The last stage is the final CA exam that covers the following subjects
- Financial Reporting
- Strategic financial management
- Advanced Auditing
- Corporate laws & Economic laws
- Advanced management accounting
- Financial services
- Markets & Information systems
- Control and audit
- Advanced tax laws
- International taxation
Once students finish all the exams then they will be the charted accountants.
